Yes, it's a very easy on/off of the Interstate and definitely worth it! We love eating here and their pies are amazing!
Yes, I've stopped on my way back to ohio and taken my husband dinner
Don't really know, but they have indoor and outdoor dining. It was rather nice sitting outside for a change.
They have 2 sides one is weelchair accessable on the others not
No, sorry, there is not any outdoor seating available.
I don't think they deliver
Yes they are.
Doesn't every place during lent but I am not sure.
Always good and their stuffed peppers are amazing....Devin is a fantastic waitress...thanks Devin
Delicious comfort food & great pies! Fantastic wait staff, with friendly smiles & great service. Worth the 19 minute drive from Flight 93 memorial. I would definitely stop here again if I travel this way.
I went for breakfast and order a made to order omelette (ham, onion and mushroom), home fries, whole wheat toast and coffee. This was a crepe style omelette where the egg sheet was stuffed with the ingredients, and very tasty. The ham was ground ham. Home fries were excellent. Coffee was good. Overall, excellent breakfast! Bill was less than $10, and so a great value.
The food and the service are outstanding! Everything is homemade and the desserts in the case made my mouth water! The decor is very authentic and there's even an old car parked out front. It's spotless clean and seems like a very friendly place.
Traveling from Virginia to Indiana via Pennsylvania Turnpike we were looking for a place to get breakfast. Sirius gave us several a d we picked Summit Diner. Was great.. service, clean, food good and had some different things..scrapple.. great omelets..etc..60's deco...very reasonable!!
Food is always yummy when we go but this time I ordered their chocolate gob cake for my birthday and it was a big hit! Can't beat this cake full of creamy white fluffy icing and yummy chocolate cake! Thanks guys! You are the best!PS: They also make a peanut butter gob cake as well! (Haven''t tried that yet).
Two words: Gob Cake ❤️The Summit Diner offers delicious desserts and delicious meals at a great price. Can't go wrong with the burger and fries in true diner fashion.
Tried out this little diner before our trip out to falling water. Service was on point. Everyone was super nice as well. Got a breakfast staple two eggs, bacon, toast and a short stack of pancakes. It was around $7. Great prices for great food. The inside had a great diner fee to it as well. Will definitely be back again for a lunch and dinner option as well at some point.
Great atmosphere girls are fun to interact with, fast paced!! Very clean, sat at the counter (8) of us we were in town for racing and we could see across the counter and everything was great!! Def great food
That wonderful small diner atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and my French toast was very good
Pie! I have several of their coffee mugs from over the years. Fun diner awesome staff. Regulars are fun. Check out the summer car shows.
I have only been to the Summit Diner twice, both times for breakfast. My breakfast was very good, service was great, and the prices reasonable. I will definitely go back for lunch, and am anxious to try a slice of one of their homemade pies! They look delicious!!
I was very impressed with the quality of the food, and the presentation. Portions were large, and prices were low. Staff was kind, thoughtful, and sensitive to our needs. We had the fried pickles, a bacon burger, a Turkey Club and the fried chicken and homeade mashed potatoes. I wished I lived closer. Don't pass by!
Classic, good-quality diner eats, quick service, and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere if you're into that sort of thing. The burgers are good, but some of the pies are to-die-for and better than homemade (well, my homemade, at least).
I enjoy eating and I especially enjoy eating food that tastes really good. This diner doesn't disappoint its customers. I have to frequently drive from Virginia to Cleveland and this diner is at the halfway point. I always want to stop here. It makes the trip enjoyable.
The best breakfast and the best price and the waitress are the best ate there many times
First time visiting. The vegetable soup was excellent! I also enjoyed the hot turkey sandwich, but it didn't have a lot of flavor. But oh my goodness look at the size of this gob cake! Generous portions, attentive staff, and reasonable prices. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Somerset.
I came here last year with my grandma and sister and I ate here and it was the best, their milkshake we’re sooooooo good and they have great service, and very nice people
Stopped in the other day with Vice President Mike Pence. We absolutely loved the people and the amazing crew at Summit Diner! Sounds like it was the best corned beef he ever had - possibly better than the White House cook's?! Thank you Somerset for letting us interrupt your lunch and graciously welcoming us! It was a pleasure meeting all of you!
The wait was minimal, the service was friendly, and food was great! Large portions and good prices. Great for families.
This place is so cool. It looks like you stepped back in time to the 50's. The food is great and really great priced too. The desserts are huge! And the biggest variety of pie flavors I've ever seen. Definitely a must try, you'll be back again.
We Love this Place! Friendly Staff! Awesome food! Nice atmosphere! Highly recommended and supported small business! Never had a bad meal there!
I stopped here with my parents while on vacation. It's a nice little diner with retro vibes. It was busy, but the service was great and the food was good. Our waitress, an older woman, was fantastic! She was so friendly and polite and just made us feel welcome. I only wish they had more space for bigger bathrooms; one per M/F isn't enough and the wait was rather long while busy.
We stopped in on our way to Ohio..Wonderful and friendly service. The food is homemade, fresh and the servings are big.and the desserts are wonderful if you make it that far😋
All the yummy comfort food you expect from a diner. Prices were a little higher than I would have expected, but the quantities were ample and the quality was good!
Nice small town diner with good food and good service. We read a few reviews looking for a place to stop in Somerset, and this one had many good reviews and we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Friendly waitress and fast service of our food. Food quality was good. I had the super bacon. Cheeseburger with no bun and sweet potato fries. A really good value and really enjoyed the decor. Even the restroom doors were unique. It is worth stopping in and giving them a try.
Always stop when I am in Somerset. Food is always fresh and great.
Love this spot- but heads up: so does everyone else. Was crowded when we were there, but it was a Saturday. Many menu options, with burgers seeming to be a specialty. Great breakfast selection. Many many pies to choose from. My nephew had the brownie Sunday and finished it in under 5 minutes. Looked delicious. In summary: a great little slice of Americana. More interesting than a chain restaurant. Cozy and with good service. Oh, and did I mention they have good coffee? (Drip coffee, but still better than most diners)
Stopped in while in town from Ohio for the Listie Grove tractor pulls. Had the scrapyard for breakfast, with some of their homemade sausage gravy. Everything was great wait staff, and owner were welcoming and pleasant. Prices very reasonable my father and I both ate for $21. Highly recommend.
The entire staff of this restaurant refuse to wear masks or face shields, as mandated by the state of PA, in order to help curb the spread of the pandemic. Wait staff, kitchen staff, hosts - nobody was doing their duty. They also had the inside well beyond the 25% capacity permitted for indoor dining. Stay away from this and any restaurant who will not do the simplest, effective thing (wearing a mask!) to protect you and your family.
Awesome diner just a few minutes off of the Somerset exit. Great food at fantastic prices. Save room for dessert. They have fabulous pies and milkshakes. And they have a jukebox so you can listen to your favorite oldies. Definitely worth the stop.
This was our third visit at the Summit Diner. Excellent as always! The staff is very friendly. The servers took their time to explain their menu and all the pies they have. You must try them. I loved their cheesecake 😍
My wife and I happened to be in Somerset today and searched for a place to eat. We ended up at the Summit Diner for lunch. The service was Great, the food was Fantastic, we only wished we had room for pie! Next time through, we'll try another item from their great menu. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast is served all day, they have daily specials too. Highly Recommended! 😋😊
Great atmosphere, service, food, and parking.
Got the hot turkey sandwich and it was really good. Even with this covid going on the service was great. Guess I found my new eating spot for the remainder of my vist. 🔥
Amazing diner, one of my all time favorites. Great food, great service and great scrapple!
Neat vibes at this authentic little diner. Good food and nice sized portions for breakfast. Friendly, efficient waitress. Only negative was that a hair was found on a plate of food, and an eyelash on another, but realize it happens, but definitely a downer and brought the rating from a 5 to a 3. Hope it doesn't happen much!
Great place to grab burger. Super friendly staff.
This place always has great food and friendly service. Every time I'm in town I end up stopping there to eat and I am never disappointed. The SOS over home fries with a side of soft bacon is my go-to when I'm there for breakfast. I enjoy it every time I go in this place. Never a bad experience.
